Every requested access and exactly why it is needed.

| Locations (read) | Technically required by Shopify since API 2024-07 to read inventory fields — without it, product synchronization fails. |
| Orders (read) | Sales history to calculate velocity (see How Forecasting Works). |
| Discounts (write) | The only catalog write access: lets Marcus create a native Shopify discount code to sell through a batch nearing expiry — never used without your approval (see Approvals). |
No write access to products or inventory is requested. Marcus never directly changes your Shopify inventory — he proposes purchase orders and discounts for you to approve.
