What Foreshelf actually stores — not a generic privacy policy.
Product catalog, stock levels, aggregated order history (quantity, price, date — no customer contact details), suppliers, batches, and expiry dates you enter.
No detailed customer data (name, email, address, or phone). Shopify order webhooks are minimized before storage: only the order ID and product/quantity lines are retained, never the customer's information.
Foreshelf automatically responds to Shopify compliance webhooks (customer data request, customer data deletion, and shop data deletion), as required by the App Store program. An uninstall with an explicit deletion request permanently erases your data from our servers.
Questions asked to Marcus may pass through a third-party AI provider to generate the answer — never with identifiable customer data, only your aggregated inventory context.
