How Marcus Decides

The cycle

1. Marcus scans your inventory (on demand or automatically, depending on your plan).
2. He proposes an action quantified in dollars, with explicit reasoning.
3. You approve in one click — or reject it, and Marcus remembers (he will not propose the same thing again for seven days).
4. The action executes after a cancellable 60-second grace period (see Approvals).

What Marcus can propose today

• Create a purchase order -- when a SKU is classified CRITICAL and a supplier is configured.
• Create a native Shopify discount code -- when a batch may expire before sell-through (classified WAIT, projected loss > 5 units).
• Send a supplier email -- generated automatically from the purchase order.

Marcus never directly changes your Shopify stock levels — this is intentionally not built: a mismatch between real stock and Shopify would be worse than no action.

Before proposing anything

Marcus requires at least 30 historical orders and 60 days of data before proposing an action for a SKU — below that threshold, forecasts would be statistical noise, not a signal.
